Mehrangarh Fort – A Photo Essay (Part Two)
So here comes the second part of the photo essay on Mehrangarh Fort –

Well, I did feel that there was much to absorb – the architecture, the landscape, the atmosphere and the people. While I was stalking Mehrangarh Fort inquisitively, there were people who were engaged in their everyday routine – getting water, preparing meals and the other usual stuff. What fascinated me even more was the fact that the residents of the fort seemed to be unruffled by the tourists, which kind of added to its mystic.
I wanted to have the sunset view from the top of the fort, but it gets a little deserted around that time, so I had to head my way back. The sun was all set to retire just when I exited the entry gate. I caught its mellow light benignly falling over the Blue city and the fort wall. The sight was remarkable! After I had witnessed the velvet-soft sunset, I considered my Mehrangarh Fort visit complete.
I did not visit the fort’s museum. So I have an excuse to make a second visit to the fort whenever I visit Jodhpur again.
