5 Destinations On My Radar
As I don’t make bucket-lists, I am a little lost at the moment. I am clueless about my next destination. Of course, the wish-list is there in my mind and I have been mulling over it for quite some time. Whilst I am longing to revisit a few destinations, I am also keen on exploring a totally new region in India. Thus, I have my eye on Wego India for good flight deals. I want to be bang on with my hotel booking, itineraries and whereabouts.
Although planning a trip is exciting, it is a bit exasperating if you have budget constraints. I want to travel far and wide, travel slower and longer, but on a budget. Today, I’d like to share with my readers the destinations that I wish to visit this year. My intent on writing this post is to know your opinion and suggestions on the destinations that I wish to explore.
I need your help!
So, here’s my travel wish-list –
Sikkim
It’s high up on my list. Sikkim will be my first glimpse of Northeast India. It will not just be a vacation, but a foray into a totally new realm and that’s what excites me more. What intrigues me about Sikkim is that it’s such a treasure of natural beauty and culture, yet has an undertone of modesty. I am looking forward to lots of unusual experiences, enrichment as a traveller and a closer rendezvous with nature.

What inspires me to visit Sikkim – Travel blogs, travel magazines and travel shows on television, and my own inherent curiosity to discover it.
Bhutan
If I go to Sikkim, I want to be done with Bhutan as well. At least, that’s what I have thought so far. I am not sure if I will be able to materialise it my way. I have a confession to make – a few years back, I thought Bhutan was just another neighbouring country and I would never want to visit it. I never knew that it was so beautiful. But today, it’s on my travel wish-list. From what I have seen virtually, I find it enchanting.

What inspires me to visit Bhutan – Its natural beauty, because I always thought Bhutan has none of it.
Darjeeling
Darjeeling is a kind of destination that I should have already explored. I think it’s the only popular hill station that I am yet to visit. I am done with Shimla, Manali, Mussoorie, Nainital and Ooty. No matter how touristy or hackneyed Darjeeling could be, I still feel there is an offbeat element to it. There is a certain charm about Darjeeling that keeps it fresh and inviting.

What inspires me to visit Darjeeling – Its colonial appeal, the hills, the old-world magic and the traditional Darjeeling tea.
Kashmir
I desire to spend my summers by the Dal Lake sipping Kahwah. I know it’s a dreamlike feeling to be in Kashmir – It is supposed to be the ‘heaven on earth’. I genuinely feel that if I don’t explore this jewel of my country, my life as a traveller would be incomplete. Thus, I want to be done with this trip as early as possible.

What inspires me to visit Kashmir – Thousands of Hindi movies, travel magazines, travel shows and my own love for nature and culture.
Kathmandu
I am itching to go there! I have always been fascinated by Kathmandu – its natural beauty, culture and the mystical aura due to the temples and shrines. I want to explore the city deeply, trek in the Himalayas and experience a bit of the life lived there.

What inspires me to visit Kathmandu – Some places have a different texture and Kathmandu is definitely one of them.
If I travel to these destinations via Delhi, it would be an excellent excuse for me to catch up with the capital. Delhi has some of my favourite shopping hubs that I am craving to check out. So, let’s see, I might have to look for hotels in Delhi too.
Well, it’s easy making travel wish-lists, but making it work seems so far-fetched.
What do you say?
Is it possible for me to explore these destinations on a budget?
